What do we all think ?

I don't see the point of taking 3 cars to Ethiopia or making the rear tyres of the Latest Ferrari light up

The only bonus is no to??er Clarkson

Didn't bother. I think I'm over all that kind of show now with contrived antics.

I think the show was great entertainment when Clarkson, Hammond and May were presenting it. There was real chemistry between them and was often very funny. It was this that gave the show huge ratings and enabled the BBC to sell it all over the world.
I still half heartedly watch it sometimes, but its never been as good since they left imo.
I watched it tonight and thought it was mediocre at best, would have liked to have seen Chris Harris replaced as well.

I watched it tonight and thought it was an improvement on the last series but still no match to Clarkson and Co. Let's see how it develops as it goes on.

I watched a bit, due to Flintoff (liked him in the 'chip van' programmes)
He may work

Sadly, it's not going to happen, but I'd like to see;

Flintoff
Sabine Schmidt (who may need a translator)
Guy Martin

I'd definitely like to see Guy Martin on the presenting team, with the odd motorcycle segment now & again.
Not sure about Sabine, she's good in certain segments, but i dont think she would be right as a full time presenter.

I read that the Grauniad have given it their stamp of approval meaning it's okay for trendy lefties to watch now it's been cleansed of the non PC original team. That alone might be enough to send it into a downward spiral.
I guess the stig and celebrity guest spots have gone forever which were amongst the most enjoyable for me.

What'd be wrong with having "The Fastest Taxi Driver In The World" on the program?

Guy Martin has said he won't do it and to be fair I can see why. He's good at what he does but you get the sense he doesn't play well with others.

I watched it, but it lacks the bite of JC TG and isn't a patch on the Grand Tour.
That said, it's more watchable than owt else that's on at 8pm on a Sunday, so I'll see how it beds in.

One final thought - Paddy McGuiness must slap himself every morning at how lucky he was to be mates with Peter Kay.

Watching it now. I'd have kept Rory Reid as well as Chris (and Mr Harris is splendid, IMHO..a proper car nerd who can explain things to non-nerds) and it would be nice if the magnificent Sabine made some guest appearances. Never mind. As for Paddy and Freddie....engaging, and likeable. It wasn't broke, they haven't fixed it.

For those who still wish it was Last of the Summer Wine....just get over it. Bottom half of the internet comments cannot and will not bring them back. JC threw one too many tantrums (and it takes huge stupidity to fail to obtain food in a pub, go to your hotel demanding food after restaurant hours, then punch someone because he is trying to sort it), good riddance. Yes, I liked them too, but their best days are gone. Never watched the Grand Tour, have no particular interest in doing so.

Pretty much spot on I'd say. It wasn't CHM at their prime, but then neither had CHM been for a long, long time before JC had his hissy fit. For a first episode I thought it was promising. They seemed to be enjoying each other and the whole enterprise - FF in particular seemed to be having a ball.

Who would the translator be for, Sabine or the two northern blokes
