im a little tea pot
My Allez has had a bit of a clickey squeak for a short while from the BB area (makes not difference if in im our out the saddle just how much power i put down!) and it probably needs a service.

this morning i heard a new squeak! much like metal rubbing on metal (not like grit in brake blocks) and only when im putting pressure through my left leg and is more noticable if i lightly apply the front brakes! the only thing ive changed recently is the wheels but have done 50+ miles on them with no ill effects so far. could it be that im just too danged heavy for the wheels and this is causing me issues or could it be something else, im worried that my carbon forks will just disintegrate on me or the steerer will snap!!! lol. my swap the wheels back for a bit and see how i fair but anyone else have any ideas?

Could be all sorts- so process of elimination - remove any accessories whoch may be making a noise inadvertently then check one at a time pedals, saddle clamp, seatpost clamp, handlebar & stem bolts. Check they are clean' greased and torqued correctly

Flex in frame and forks is bending the wheel and causing brake rub. Adjust the brakes a bit further away from the rims.

My Specialized Secteur had an annoying constant creaking coming from the BB area. I tried everything removing pedals, cranks, BB and regreasing the threads. I checked everything was tight on the bike, seat post rear mech hanger etc. Nothing cured it and it was really getting on my nerves, I was ready to change the BB. A few weeks ago when I was coming home from work and sick to death of listening to it I tried raising my seat post by around 1mm for some reason. Anyway the creak went and I still do not have a clue why as I previously made sure that the seat post clamp was tight. Still I do not care really even if the fix was illogical and makes no sense the noise has gone so I am happy.
