New Rotor Issues

Hi All,

I had to order a new front rotor but ive ordered a larger one than what is currently fitted.
I cant seem to adjust the brake pad distance, im either being stupid or would i need to buy different break pads etc to fit the larger rotor.

What size have you bought and is it the same type but different size? If its larger you will probably have to change the caliper mount for it to fit.

I did have a 160 and now i have a 180 but its just not fitting into the brake pad area (just to big) so it looks like i would either need to get the same size front or new caliper mount?

Try chain reaction cycles. search for disc mount adapter. check which mount you have on the fork.

Some bikes won't take a 180 rotor either. Make sure it doesn't foul the forks if it's a road style. Check to see if it is IS or post mount.

Or swap the 180 for a 160mm
