It's getting to that time where I feel a new bike build coming on. I'd buy a whole bike, but I seem to have a wheel or two that I could use and a fairly new Ultegra group set on an old frame. I'm looking for aluminium or carbon frame recommendations. Audax or sportive type but I don't need to fit mudguards. Any suggestions? I don't think I could really justify paying more than say £700.

Hmmmm possibly. Don't really have any brand preferences. I've got a Dolan, which I built up myself and I like the frame, however if I got another one no one in my bike club would notice the new bike.

Get something unusual then if you're trying to impress the club..or titanium ;)

How about a second hand Condor frame from eBay? Don't see many around especially if outside London
