New phone

Like owner recommendations please, I could do with a single item to replace both my phone and Asus EEE.

Here's what is important to me:-
1. Making and receiving phone calls.
2. Making and receiving emails.
3. Wi-fi.
4. Decent battery life.

1 & 2 is all I want it to be able to do well. Nothing else is important (or of any interest) to me, so I don't want to know about poor camera quality, low mp3 storage, or aesthetics, I couldn't give a monkey's fart.

I must admit to liking that very much when I was looking but didn't get it because it was too expensive to run and buy on a pay as you go tariff.

I've got a "free" one on a contract I've had for 6 yrs... costs me not very much, and the internet/email (which i use more than phone calls) is excellent. And although MarkF isn't interested in the camera, it has a very good one.

Thank you, I'll have a look at the Nokia.

I work for myself, the phone will be a tool, phone and email only, that's all I want. Just try telling a mobile phone salesman that, what a waste of freakin time.

i would suggest the nokia 5800, i am using it right now to post this message. Top class bit of kit. Wi-fi, GPS, large memory capacity, email blah blah... Really good phone!

Ditto on the iPhone. I'm using an iPhone 3g, its my,,,,,

1. Camera
2. Sat Nav
3. Mobile Internet browser
4. My MP3 player
5. My phone
6. My email reader
7. DAB radio reciever thanks to an app I installed today.

Does it all and I love it!!!
