Hi
I'm sure this has been asked thousands of times & I'm sorry. I need a new front light maybe a rear light aswell.
I'm currently using an Aldi front light (rubbish for anything really) & a Bikehut rear light which I don't have a problem with. I can get pics if needed.

Can someone recommend a decent front light so I can ride on unlit roads, preferably rechargeable & within £50 price range (little wiggle room available if needed)

Thanks

at the moment all I have is the tacx lumos fitted & a Bikehut rear light, but I am waiting for a Cree T6 as suggested in this thread to come through the post. To be honest I haven't been riding since 23th Dec due to not having any lights.

I have been using a Moon XP300. I wanted a self-contained light for quick installation & removal. USB chargeable as well. It does me fine on unlit country roads.

What I find very useful, is the facility to swivel the mount sideways by about 30 degrees with one touch of my hand. If there is oncoming traffic I can angle it to the left into the hedge and still illuminate enough road.

I charge it about once a week for a daily 45 minute ride in the mornings on low beam, and a 30 minute ride in the evenings on standard or high beam. The flashy mode is very bright though, too bright for morning traffic.

I'd concurr get a T6 for front and for a rear light which recharges by USB get a moon crescent. They are currently £10.99 but use discountuk to get another 10% to bring it down to £9.89 per light.
if you are feeling cheeky go your local gooutdoors store and ask them to price match using the discount code as they match and then knock another 10% to bring it down to £8.90 per light (depending if the manger will match with the discount, some do, some don't)
