New light needed

On my commute home from work now I have to big my daughter up from nursery, the journey back involves going through a poorly lit pathway and it turns out my front light is more for being seen than seeing were your going!

Looking for some advice on what light to get to see were I'm going, the other issue now is I have had to fit a basket onto my bike so cant have my light on the handle bars so possibly looking ofr this one to be able to attach onto the helmet. Any ideas? I am hoping to not spend to much on the light as well but any help is more than welcome.

Hope Vision 1 but not so cheap!

The Hope Vision 1 is excellent, but if it's just for a pathway one of the LED torches with the very bright Cree LEDs would probably do.

Just bought these, have been using them for a couple of weeks and they seem real good, i know time will tell but at the moment i am over the moon with them, i have them on flashing mode most of the time, but if i come across an unlit road hit the button and you have a really bright zoom able light. battery life seems good as well.

seeing as you are carrying one of lifes most important parcels i would suggest something thats reliable and bright

I've been very impressed with my Cree T6. This one comes with a headband and bar mounts. I don't think it would be difficult to mackle something up to attach it to a basket either:
