New inner tube, faulty valve...

Bought a new inner tube recently (schwalbe). Always found the tube deflated when left overnight. I had a close look at the tube...the rubber is fine but after very close inspection (involving a bowl of water!) found out there's a teeny-weeny gap in the stem of the valve where the main stem of the presta valve joins the next section up - most likely manufacturing fault.

Should I chuck it? Worth contacting Schwalbe?! Get another schwalbe and hope that one is ok?
