I don't know if this is of use to anyone but I've found it impossible to buy new hoods for my classic Weinmann brakes.... until I found a seller on eBay who is selling new alloy brakes with the same hoods!
Take a look at this item.
These levers are basically Weinmann copies as far as I can tell and to be honest they are more solidly made. The only difference is badging and the fact that these new items are 9g heavier - 79g rather than 70g per side.
I bought my set on the basis that I'd take a chance that the hoods fitted but now I've decided to fit the whole lot - as I'm happy to sacrafice 18g for better build quality.
