New Helmet needed - £50 -£70 (ish!)

Hi all, looking for a new helmet as all the padding is dissolving on my one! (cratoni bullet)
looking for the lightest helmet at around the £50-£70 mark. Anyone bought/seen any heavily reduced at the moment? Any help would be greatly received! cheers.

But, go to a shop, try on and then buy the one that fits best from the shop

I'm all for supporting local bike shops but when it comes to helmets there almost double the price! I just cant justify it. Need to get one in a sale ideally as my current helmet is incredibly light (175g) and its great as you hardly feel like you have one on! looking for something simular but nor bank breaking.

Sorry to hijack a thread, how do you tell if the helmet is specifically a road bike helmet, does it matter, and what constitutes a good helmet? Looked without success for a guide somewhere. Many thanks

To the other poster. Road helmets don't normally have a peak on the front. MTB helmets can also have face protection

Check out your local Specialized retailer, they (specialized) had an amnesty, ie. if u bring in an old helmet they give huge discount on 2 of their models. Clubmates got prevail model for £80 as opposed to £160 rrp and didn't even have to hand in a helmet. There's another model available but can't remember the name.

It initially stated for the month of June, my lbs is offering it while stocks last
