Hi, just joined. Worthwhile place for info and chat, so here goes. Road cycling here in north east Catalonia is great, roads are traffic free and other road users respectful, mostly smooth tarmac, great climbing and stunning views.

Hi welcome, we enjoyed three months in Costa blanca this winter just gone, The weather was great cycled up the" Col de Rates" a couple of times, mountains are great, like you said roads lovely and smooth, drivers so respectful, covered just over 3000 km whilst there, and got abuse from just one vehicle!!!! And yes it was a British number plated car!!!!!!. Enjoy the forum
