Hi guys,

I am pretty new to the commuting bug and road bikes.

I am looking to upgrade my bike. Ideally I want somethign for commuting and Sunday cycles. Overall usage about 100 miles a week.

I was thinking about eithe rthe boardman comp or the orbea TSR or TTG. Ideally I would like the shifters on the brake levers as opposed to the bar ends - my old bike has this and I always felt it was fiddly.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

There is obviously a cost differecne - Boardman £800, TTG £920, TSR £720.
I think the Boardman is better than the TSR however am I better paying another £120 for the TTG?

Added bonus about the Orbea is the shop will work with me to customise the bike to how I would like it and it comes with pedals (I already have LOOKs so that isnt that great a bonus).

Thanks in advance.

Ross

May I throw a Pompetamine versa into your list? £800. A fine commuter and a comfy ride for the weeekends. Won't be quite as quick as the bikes you listed but for your budget you'll get commuting bits (mudguards/rack/decent lights) as well
