New Carbon Forks - different size headtube??

Hey guy!
Bought a 2nd hand set of carbon forks. When I went to fit them, after taking off the little cap on the top of the headtube, they appear to have a smaller diameter (it seems to fit almost perfectly inside the previous forks). I didnt even realise that adult road bike forks could differ in this way. Is there an easy fix??

If they are the wrong diameter, then there is no fix, other than buying the right size instead. What bike - what forks?

Do you mean the internal diameter or external diameter of the steerer tube?

Sounds like they may be a 1" not a 1 1/8"

If they have a 1" steerer then flog them - you will get a good price if they are in good condition.

There used to be two different sized crown races for different 1" forks. It may be the same with 1.1/8" Might be worth taking them to your Lbs.
