Just when I thought I might be on my bike again tomorrow, I find the cantilever brake set I bought over eBay doesn't fit my bike (do not fit properly over my braze-ons).
Is there a definite way to know which brake set I need or is it a case of going into my lbs? Last time they said they didn't have mine in stock and would need to order in - I thought I'd be clever and buy off eBay quicker but - doh!
The original set had plastic covers on the return springs which have since become brittle and broken off. The new ones I want have this housing as part of the cantilever housing.
Anyone have any idea which set would be right if I wanted to order myself? Here's a pic of the originals - one (Left) with the plastic collar and one (Right) where this has broken off:
