Are they any good?
I was looking at the two Carerra's they look okay but his last bike was an Apollo from Halfords and it was poo.
I have just left it outside the front door by the bins in the hope that some one will take it.
It needs a new set of calipers cables pads and a brake lever.

Have a look at these. My lass has got the girls version and its a lovely little bike. Carreras are much better than Apollos, and good value bikes IMHO, with decent branded components and good frames. A lad at work commutes on a Carrera Subway hybrid and loves it, it has done a couple of 1000 miles now in all weathers.

Specailized Hotrocks is a great bike for kids ( both the lads 2 doors down have them) really cool looking and sturdy looking.
A quick search said around £250

Yeah we were looking at those two and the Specialized believe it or not.
He wants the green Carrera, I was trying to talk him into get the Specialized as I'm getting a Specialized too after Chrimbo fingers crossed, major issue with that bike is the lack of disc brakes.
I know not all Halfords bikes are pants as I've got a Voodoo at the mo' and it's not a bad bike.
Thanks for the replies guys gonna go for the blast, little bit cheaper too.
