It's reached that time of year when new bike time has arrived  So thought I'd see what people are riding around my budget so what are you riding that is decent for 5-8K.

I'd rather have peoples personal experiences of what they are riding as I too can read a magazine review and adverts.

you may like to give folk an idea of what type of bike your after :okay:

Ah the joys of posting after a late night working. So I'm after a road bike with discs, Groupset I don't mind but probably going to be super record when the discs come out, Dura Ace, Sram Red etc.

Go to one of the many top end dealers in London Town and see what floats your boat

For example, Sigma in Kingston had several bikes in that price range on their shop floor last weekend

Not too many on here riding a single bike that cost that amount

I think @Globalti has a high end Bianchi? @derrick Cervelo?

For me it would be probably something very swish and titanium

What do you have at the moment?

As mentioned, it's very difficult to buy a bad bike at that price level.

Two questions though - what type of riding will you be doing, and why do you want to spend such a large amount?

Depends where your priorities lay. Do you want the ultimate race machine or unique custom build or something else?
Have look at Condor they have a ' build your own dream machine' section on their site : https://www.condorcycles.com/apps/productbuilder/road-bike-builder

I love the Cervelo. recently upgraded from S2 to R5, Coming from an aero bike to the R5 the ride is so smooth and comfortable, Have ridden a few top end bikes, but Cervelo wins for me. But when spending that sort of money you really need to try before you buy, Have mates who ride all the top end bikes and they all swear they are the best, Good luck with what ever you buy.:okay:
