needing new bearings & cones

OK having been to my LBS yesterday and failed to obtain new bearings and cones for 2 mtb wheel refurbs, where is the best place on line to purchase them from please?

They are Shimano Deore FH-M510 viam hubs that I want to recondition before handing the bike over to my BIL next month.

SJS cycles are one of the best bets for parts. Even if they don't have it, they order from Madison for you.

Are the cups OK.

I bought a new axle with cones and bearings from Halfords, fairly cheap and did the job of getting some old wheels through the winter.

I had some lumpy bearings in a pair of Alexrims - my LBS had new cones and bearings, at £16 a wheel. Cups felt 100% fine. When fitted, spotlessly clean, (and I tried 3 times) the bearings were v poor so had to scrap the wheels.

Not the LBS fault - but even though the cups felt fine, I don't think they were - so maybe trying to replace cones is a false economy.

cups are borderline to OK. He won't be using the bike for anything more than commuting up and down a canal from where he lives into Hebden Bridge so max 2 miles each way or so, so I think they will hold out. His old bike was a write off after the floods (it was in the cellar which was completely submerged) in HB & Todmorden Summer 2012 and this was more a case we now have a bike spare and if I can sort the wheels my OH murdered at Llandegla, strip and clean the bike down the mtb should last him several years.
