Thinking of getting this one. What im looking for is a pump that can fix onto the frame via a bracket and is capeable of 100psi without super human strength. This one seems to come with a hose on the end which I think is great coz I have bust enough prestas in the past. Whats of particular importance to me is the ease at which the thing connects/disconnects onto the valve. What are your opinions?

most lyzenes are up to the job. i have a lezyne mini pressure drive and it has always got me up to 70-80 psi.
not sure any roadside pump will get you all the way to 100 psi..... but they do allow you to continue to ride all day and top up with a track pump later.

I've got a lezyne pump with CO2 compatible hose. About 9 inches long so slips in a back pocket easily and gets up to 100psi in a bit over 100 strokes.

In fact it's pretty much that pump you linked to but with a different hose. I'd recommend it, nice rubber seals stop it rattling like my older pumps did.

Are they duel action pumps too? I currently have a mini pump which pumps in in both directions of the stroke and this makes one hell of a difference. If so what the make/model of the one you got?

I have got a Topeak Race Rocket. Cracking little pump that does both Presta & Schrader valves, has a flexible pipe to put less pressure on the valve and actually pumps the tube up to over 100 psi. Good solid aluminium construction as well.

JMO, but i don't get all this mini pump thing...perhaps apart from he aesthetics.
Ive had a trusty Zefal frame pump for maybe 6 years, pumps up tyres properly in a fraction of the time it takes a mini pump.

I did a test in Reviews with two different (but reasonable quality) mini pumps. They both took almost exactly the same amount of pumps to inflate a tyre, way way over 100 strokes. My full size Zefal does better in seconds.

A zefal frame pump....circa £5 to £10, absolute max.

The only thing in a mini pumps favour...perhaps they do look better on a bike.

Just the one way, but the barrel is about as big as a mini pump can be and still be called a mini. Check the road.cc review archive for their opinion.

Frame pumps are great for what they do, unfortunately there's nowhere on my bike frames to attach a long frame pump adequately. I chose the pump I use because I can blast some CO2 in there quicker than any pump can manage, and in the same set up have a mini pump as a last resort / when not in a hurry.

I use the Lezyne Road Drive CFH pump and love it. It doubles up as a CO2 pump which is handy when you need to get the tube filled as quick as possible, especially on a cold winter run.

The pump attaches to the frame using the bottle cage holes/bolts but still allows the bottle cage to be attached onto of the bracket, therefore you don't lose space for a water bottle.
