Need help with identifying my peugoet bike

Hey Guys,

if resently bought my first "vintage"-bike and im starting to get really invested into these old bikes. Can anyone help me identify the bike so i can find out more about its history and its components?
The Serialnumber is Y997 04455 and i believe its a PE20 performance from 97 but im not sure, plus I cant find it in any bronchures or anywhere else.
Any help is much appreciate

Peugeot PE20, can't quite make out the BB serial number stamped in the frame, looks to be Y9 which IIRC is a 1989 model year bike.

What is the label at the top of the down tube above the shifters? It looks a fairly basic spec but I’d be interested to see what the frame is.

Those are the labels on the down tube. I tried contacting the lower one but no answer jet.

I also found a post from you about a PE20. Yours was missing the "performance"-Sticker on the top tube and you had more off the original accessories, but at least it was a PE20:

Blimey I had forgotten about that one, I picked up from Milton Keynes and I don't think it had ever been ridden.

I think it was carbolite tubing but please don't quote me.
