Ok, I'd like opinions on what to buy for my front wheel (and fork) after an accident wreaked them.

I think the frame (Aluminium) isn't bent so I just need forks and a wheel and I can get back on the road. Its not an expensive bike, but it had a carbon fork. I'm undecided whether to replace it with a really cheap carbon fork (~£100) or something cheaper...

Anyway, my questions is about wheels, I wen't to a bike shop and the cheapest wheel was £60, looking on amazon there is a Raleigh 700c wheel for £23 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Raleigh-700...sr_1_1?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1319196236&sr=1-1) Is it worth paying three times more for a wheel, considering my bike probably has very budget wheels to start with? I really don't wan't to be spending too much.

Also, the bike (an earlier but alsmost identical model to this: http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/ebw...QRY=C438&f_SortOrderID=1&f_bct=c003155c018341) had slightly wider tires, 700 x 25c. Do I need to get specific wheels for them, or will any 700c wheel do?

Thanks!

Any 700c wheel will fit your fork if it's the same hub size as the fork. It doesn't matter whether you use 700x35 or 700x18, they (should) all fit

As for fork brands I can't help, just make sure it has the right size steerer for your frame and you'll be fine
