Bowden worked on the Ford Thunderbird and Chevrolet Corvette in the US but started in the UK on Humbers and Healys. His prototype for the Spacelander was the Classic.
Amazing bicycle. Almost a cult. Apparently only 522 were made. They come up for auction from time to time in the US and can make over $10,000. A reproduction was made in the 1990s but only 30 or so sold.
