Riding down a hill on the hoods went to indicate left so car behind would expect my braking as I moved my hand away from the hoods a loose thread in my cheapskate Lidls gloves must have got trapped behind the brake lever so it snatched the bars across about 45 degrees to the left
The front wheel skidded and I prepared for pain but incredibly I must have pulled it back straight instinctively and stayed on. I was going downhill at about 25 mph at the time.
No way do I have the level of skill to control a front wheel sideways skid like that , it was pure luck that I stayed on.
