Went to see stage 4 of Tour of Britain. N Yorkshire council's determination to defend their reputation as the most cycling unfriendly county in the UK didn't quite ruin the day.

I had a great day; my non-cycling mate was amazed at the finish. We'd driven over the Cow and Calf on the way to Bradford. How anyone made it the rest of the way was beyond him, let alone the finishing speeds of the winners.

And we were the only customers in the Mumtaz at 5pm. Thanks for the heads up.
