So, last night the tyre went flat. Took out the tube.
Checked the inside of the tyre in inside of the rim & rim tape for nasties. Nada.
Inflated the tube and checked it under water for air bubbles. Zilch.
Valve not leaking either.
Refitted it, making sure it wasn't being pinched.
Pumped it back up. Went to bed.
This morning, it was flat again.

I have just repeated the process, this time crossing fingers.
Je ne comprends pas.

Slowwwwwwwwwwww puncture can be difficult to locate, because pressure would be much lower and so would the leak without the tyre. Since time is money sometimes it is best to replace.

Booh to mystery punctures. Two deflations indicate something is amiss with the tube. Faulty Valve, minute hole etc change for new tube. But also check inside the tyre with your fingers (carefully) to see if there is anything catching. Also the rim tape that no spokes are poking through.

Pay particular attention to the seams of the inner tube, especially near to the valve. I once had a slow puncture that I eventually traced to the seam, and when I looked the air was escaping so slowly it barely formed a bubble.

In terms of sanity, four quid for a new tube is money well spent......

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Have had tubes with a split where valve stem fits into tube. No indication of leak in water, or when first inflated, but absolutely flat later. Leak only showed up when the valve was pushed so as to flex the join. Would be my first place to look. Damage probably caused by careless use of push on pump.
