Mystery K bike?

Asking for a friend who has been given this nice road bike. The guy resprayed it and can't remember the make. The tubing is 531 and the equipment is Shimano 501. The stay tubing wrap around is reminiscent of Holdsworth. The only clue is the letter K stamped on the stays. Any ideas?
