Mystery Dawes

My son has just bought this Dawes on E-Bay. Does anyone know what it is? The bphoto is not good enough to make out any of the decals. I wouild say 1970s, but I could be wrong. We will find out when he picks it up on Saturday.

Hard to say but could be a Galaxy? nice bike

I think it may be a 1970s Mirage. Whatever it is it came in at under £75 so I reckon he got a good buy. It looks very original and as though it has been kept somewhere relatively dry

He picked it up yesterday, spent two hours cleaning it up and the rest of the day riding around with a silly grin on his face, he really likes the bike. Everything works (even the lights) and all the surface dirt cleaned off nicely to reveal clean vintage bits. Its off the Steels bike shop tomorrow for a service and to fit it for him. All he has to do know is keep it locked!!
