Appearances can be deceptive.
Although the Decathlon 'choco' Chocolate Energy Bars arrive in a a huge box measuring 6 feet by 4 feet the bars themselves are buried within - in a box only some five inches square -but full marks to Decathlon for protecting them from the ravages of ParcelForce.
Disappointingly, the packaging is in French, so it is difficult to pinpoint the provenance of the componetry that makes up each of the generous THREE bars the box contains. Certainly 'Sucre' seems much to the fore...clear evidence of 'trickle-down' technology at this price-point......and it is refreshing to see that, even at only £95 pounds each, these bars are clearly sourced in Europe and not some generic Far Eastern manufactory.
SO what of the performance of these bars, I hear you you ask?
Well, at a little short of £299 for the three we are certainly not short on value.
Think Kellogs 'Rice Crispies', then 'Chocolate'..............then TRY to imagine a combination of the two...and you pretty much have the concept here.
I enjoyed two of them on a steep and technical upstairs section of my house, but confess, I have laid the third one aside with a view to possible future upgrading as time and finances allow.
Altogether another technical triumph for one of Europes leading manufacturers-and remember-you get THREE for less than one hundred pounds each!!
PS....Decathlon also incude a FREE bright red bicycle with a Carbon Fork and Shimano sti Groupset, which, amazingly they managed to fit in the same box.
But I threw that away.
Highly recommended
