I've loved having a trike I could ride (my rigid ice adventure), and it's good fun. I've missed my road bike though, that feeling of gliding along, almost flying, and have been looking out for 2 wheel alternatives. I've also wanted one I can get the train with and fit though doors.

Yesterday I drove 5 hours to pick up a Schlittler Encore, and it's remarkable! My first carbon frame too. I'm still in the easily wobbled child stage of learning, but could ride in a straight line first go at his house, and today was able to follow the curves of the running track I tried it on. I shall be practicing hard over the next few days or more till I'm comfortable mixing it up with traffic. I bought it from a really lovely guy in Norfolk, who built it himself from the frame up.

A 4 second video of me not falling off.

Incidentally, i've just discovered the rims are tubular, which is entirely new to me. They are 700x22 tyres. Can anyone tell me how specific to tyres size they might be. Could I fit a 700x30 do you think?

Cheers
James
