picked this treat up at weekend , its a late 70's Coventry Eagle by Falcon and apart from a layer of dust it does not look like it has done much at all .

could not resist the orange colour with the half chrome forks and chromed Rigida rims , 27" of course .

not sure of its destiny yet , as its hanging ready in garage . now for sale

Nice, the forks do look good with chrome tips. A ncie B17 on it will really set it off.

Wasn't Coventry Eagle taken over by Falcon possibly later than your bike (which I guess is mid-eighties, latest)?

The name was used briefly by the co-operative sponsored by Barry Hoban and then became British Eagle producing the same models up to about 1992, I think. In the late 80's I used to import bicycles for Falcon from Taiwan and they weren't of that quality by any stretch.

have spent the last few early morning sessions cleaning this and it has come up really well , using today and rest of week for commuting on , so far quite impressed just a bit on the heavy side but very nice . all the chrome work cleaned up really well and looks shiny will try and get some new pics up once this rain stops

like my first 10 speed racer, except it was a pale blue.......bought mine in 1982......30 years of serious cycling :-)
