Will be doing the Carmarthenshire Snapper 200 km this coming Sunday. It will be the longest ride I have done so wish me luck. I have done over 100 miles a few times now so reasonably confident.

My plan is not to push it too hard (especially at the start) and eat / drink lots. Not really a scientific plan but its worked for me up til now.

Hope you enjoy it - looks as if it's going to be another great weekend weather-wise.

Enjoy yourself, I've just biked in to work - the weather was perfect, and it was one of those mornings that I felt as though I could keep cycling for hours and hours - hope your ride is just like that

Just stick to your own advice & you'll be fine, if the total climb 800m is correct it should be a doddle. You'll be on the RRTY & SR series bandwagon next

Thanks for the replies. It is in fact a lot more than 800 meters climbing.Closer to 1800 in fact but still not too bad for a Welsh 200. Pockets will be well laden with Jelly babies flapjack and nuts plus meals at the cafe controls should get me around.

Weather forecst is light winds and dry so fingers crossed. Cheers .
