Hey people

so i am 17 and got back into cycling about 6 months ago, starting out slow and then rapidly moved up a step, i went from being able to doing like 15 mile rides to an 80 mile ride after like 3 weeks i know that was not a good option but then on the ride, about 30+ miles in i got a pain just above the knee to the right, which i later self diagnosed as ITBS, so i took some time off and it didnt get better, now both legs are the same and have the pain except it has gone up and its like a dull ache in the hip region. I also get a weakness in my legs and sometimes a weird kind of shooting pain down the back of my leg, my main ache is in the hips though and its getting really annoying because i really want to get back into my cycling.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks

Yes - see a doctor.

Probably got into it way too quickly. I did the same with running, took a year out built myself up really quick and now I have left knee trouble and i'm only 22. Cycling doesn't cause me any issues though thankfully.

Unfortunately I can't actually help you, go see a doctor/physio.

Yeah the urge to do too much too soon was an issue .
