Looks like a raleigh mixte.. could be wrong though

Thanks for reply ,i have googled mixte and looks similar,she has told me rear derailleur is a simplex if that offers any clues.

The cottered crankset, if they are original would make it pre mid 70's. Has she given you any details of serial number?

When you get to see it have a look on Disreali Gears to help date the derailleur.

Sorry haven't got serial number,she is away at moment and saw this bike in a shop and bought it on impulse.she is arranging for courier to deliver to our home so i should get to have good look next week.
