Good going! I also did my longest ride yet, cracking 20 miles for the first time. http://app.strava.com/rides/22877064

There were plenty of team-colours folk out who were comparatively flying up the hills, but they're still a grind for me. The flatter bits are ok, but the 500ft-climb-in-2-miles hill is still beyond me in one shot. One day, soon...

Now, I'll join you in a reward pint! Cheers!
Well done, 4 P.B's to boot as well some tough climbs in there.

Nice one Gaz, did mine Saturday while it was nice. No strava to prove it thou, just shortof 20, Ive stopped the smokes and bought the bike about a month ago. Loving it.

@Nigel, your Strava route passes by me about a mile from our house, nice route for my 30 when i get to it. Comes in handy strava.

Well done on the fags. I stopped 3 years ago (40 cigars a day) and I found the 1 year point is when the health benefits become really noticeable so it all gets better for you from here on in!

Well done on the mileage, I didn't have any gps for well over a month, but I kept records, and even though I have gps now, I still do my own records.
It is, gives you ideas for routes, mind so do other sites. Watch them hills to the west they can get a little mean in places. I was hopping to circle round Melton Wood looking down to Mexborough, but didn't really have the time, those extra miles would have helped for this week as I have 107 miles left to do for 1000Km for the month.

Well done, next you will have to venture over oldham and tackle some of those hills;)
Not ready for them bad boys yet! The one i went up heading to Higher Crompton was too big for me.
To an East Anglian, those climbs look massive. Well done Sir!
Lol, i don't think they are massive, Some guys will look at them as a mere mound! but for me, yes it was huuuuge! haha.
Thanks to everyone else who sent me a well done, It all helps.

Another well done on both counts.
GF and I stopped smoking Feb. 2010 and feel great for it. When we go walking, now, we don't get out of breath. We do the walks much faster, as we are not constantly stopping for a fag break. She's taken up cycling, Though only very short and very leisurely rides so far on her Land Rover Lyra. I've been upping my distances and speeds (wind and time permitting).
Giving up the weed certainly lets you do much more with your life. And hopefully for many more years.

I think you have to learn to love hills in the Oldham, Rochdale area. Every direction seems to go up a hill.
