Whilst I am still awaiting the outcome of my claim following the collision in March, I have got fed up of being without my tourer
The bitsa made with 700 wheels on a heavy MTB frame, suspension forks and ancient biopace road chainset is getting dull now - its done its job well
So I've decided to risk rebuilding the tourer with new forks on the basis that the forks were well and truly bent so seem to have been the "crumple zone" - there are no stress marks on the frame around the head tube and joints.
I may have it stripped first then given the die-pen treatment at work, our factory has that facility for EU approval of towbars
The frame did get some scratches and chips, the forks are a different colour, so the lot is going to get powder-coated. I'm torn between
Yellow
Blue
Aqua
The Blue was my first choice (probably somewhere more between the blue and aqua ones above)) but the yellow is growing on me. Imagining it with Brooks handlebar tape too....
