It will take another 3000 to wear the brooks in then you have the perfect saddle forever .

That is some distance, well done that man! I'll be very interested to hear how you get on with your Brooks saddle, which model have you fitted? I'm thinking about a B17 for my Boardman, either a standard or a narrow. The town bike I used to have had a B33 on it, which was superb, never gave me a moment's discomfort, but of course the B33 is sprung. Having said that, I think the shape of the saddle is what counts more than the springing.

I went for the B17 narrow. Although after Christmas maybe the wide would've been the better option. I'm cycling down the east coast of France in May so wanted to give it plenty of time to wear it in.
