My first total wipeout....

Don't get your brakes done just before a big ride. Braked too sharply and wiped out 20 yards into a Friday Night Ride to the Coast on Friday night. Deep grazes to knee and shin, black bruising on my lady bits and inner thigh and a left boob that looks like a baboon's arse.

Still did the 70 miles to Bognor though!

PS If you're going to fall in the road, do it in a group, a couple of riders blocked the incredibly busy road so I could get up and get off the road in safety.

- I recall wiping out in spectacular fashion on a big SMOOTH paved area in front of a bunch of tourists... when i was being stupid as I was enjoying the smooth fast surface - god i felt a total jerk !

Oh and although some did giggle lots of people singled me out to tell me of their most embarrassing tumble and that made me feel much better.
