My First TimeTrial...Tyre Advice

Afternoon all,
I'm doing my First TT in just under 3 weeks time (The lizard 30), I'm using my road bike (Scott S60) Is it worth me changing the cheapo Hutchinson Flash tyres(700x23c)that came with the bike (they've done about 1200 miles now anyway) for something better? will I notice the diffrence? what would you recomend?

you probly wont notice a lot of difference tbh, but if you are noticing that they are starting to wear out it is time for a new set. bontrage X-Lite AC are the tyres i use when i TT

Ditto, and just make sure they are pumped up good and hard.

Michelin PR3's for me. Tyres can make quite a difference.

might be worth 20 seconds or so if you get some 19mm superlight tyres and tubes . it would certainly give your moral a bit of a boost

Hmmm.. As funds are short I think I'll stick with the cheapo's, they're not worn out (totally!) I was just thinking that maybe in cycling good tyres made a significant diffrence similar to when I was competing in car sprints and hillclimbs but I think I'll just concentrate on my fitness
