Arrived yesterday, they are the ones without a pad :tongue: what's that all about then ? No use to me, why send out winterbibs without a pad? Sorry if I sound ungrateful, but WTF no pad I ask you. Cant really wear a pair of bibs underneath, too bulky with the straps, could buy a pair of padded underpant things:sad: not really keen on that idea either..No pad, no pad, why would anyone want winter bibs WITHOUT A PAD ffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:angry::sad::biggrin:!

I'm with you on this Morti, but in a discussion some time ago on this forum, most people preferred padless. I can't imagine or indeed remember why.

Don't you just wear a pair of shorts under them?
Ideal retuirement home for shorts that have seen their best - lycra getting a bit thin...

Mine also arrived, not as thick as I sort of expected, more a spring/autumn wear than winter as suggested, still they were free, I got the CW sub cause I was fed up with going out looking for it at local shops.

I'd rather no pad, that way I can change the shorts/bibs for every ride but the longs can be used over and over without always needing to be washed (unless they get dirty).

If you don't like them, what size are they? I'll give you a fiver if my size, a fiver is better than having them laying about :evil:

Nothing in this life is free, and my Bibs aren't a fiver either! if you want 'em they'll be on the bay shortly.:evil:

I don't know anyone who wears padded bibs, they are mostly worn with shorts underneath. Like Heartattack says, they don't have to be washed after every ride.

Exactly !

You wear padded shorts (non-bib) underneath, these get washed after every ride, the non-padded longs over the top get washed every couple of weeks when filthy.

As well as the washing aspect, you wear two layers around your b*lls and your bum which keeps the bits that need it warm whilst allowing your lower legs, the bits that get warm, to only have one layer.

No-one would wear padded longs over padded shorts, that would be like wearing a nappy ! (FFS, WTF, etc to answer the original post...)

:ohmy::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: Like it !

However, it's her who decides they're 'dirty'.

For me, I reckon that there's no point washing something which will just get covered in muck again the first time I go out and ride down a country lane.

I clean the bike when I get back, but my tights can stay covered in roadgrime...
