Banged out a load of Blini for canapes tomorrow.
Do they have a plural, "blinis*?

Need vodka in the freezer too

I think I had REALLY better go to bed. In my defence, it's SO easy to lose track of time whilst nerding. Namely trying to work out whether there was any sort of pattern to FF1600 race number allocations during the 1986 season. There wasn't. But I have put together a data sheet that'll help me identify any photos that come my way.

Nunnight one and all xxx :hello:

Oh, and I gave the girls a does of flea treatment each while I was waiting for my :cuppa: to brew.

Am now certain the fleas came from the rats, but since I purrsuaded a brick into the hole they were using to get inside the cavity wall just over a month ago, I've not seen any ratty intruders since. And there have been no new holes in my windowsill either. But will still have to keep treating the girls for at least another couple of months just in case there are any fleas lurking that have evaded my extermination efforts.

Fleas like masking tape . Just dab a piece on them and fold it over and they are as happy as a bug in a rug !

I've been looking at my Boardman Sport frame and wondering why they went to all the trouble of trying to make it light , aluminium frame , carbon forks and then stick layers and layers of paint on it . The forks have been black , white , black , white , grey and grey ! The frame has also had a similar number of layers but white , white ,white and grey . The chips on the frame were so deep that I have put a small layer of filler in the bring the level up a bit . No point touching up a chip way down in a well!
I don't think they could have been powder coated as I think there is a limit to the thickness for using non conductive coating . I assume that they must have had frames left in an old colour scheme and just painted them in the new scheme .

I'm thinking its more likely something like Mango or something like that, I think it was pre lockdown and they've since disappeared.

That may be what you were thinking of.

And Mango is indeed mainly a single speed based company. Still in business I think - I saw something from them recently !

As far as I know though. Mango came way after Fixie. Of which there are examples for sale on eBay. Both garish 🤣

Another dreich day and viz is currently about half a mile due to the drizzle. No wind and not too cold tho'.
An earth tremor was recorded just off the edge of Mull and is rumoured to be due to Calmac opening their summer timetable up for booking. The rush was such that the earth moved.
In the Outer Hebrides there are reports on the local FB page that a couple of celebrity queue jumpers are offering their services in exchange for wads of cash.:notworthy:
Apparently the stones at Callanish which are older than Stonehenge are having to get a queueing system set up due to the numbers visiting and whole bus loads are coming off cruise ships berthed at Stornaway.
When we first went there they were completely open to anyone and we were the only people there and there was no nonsense like visitor centres and fences.
I think we got the best of times before the infestation by tourism over pretty well everywhere we travelled all those years ago.

Isn't it strange how the brain works ? I was doing a crossword puzzle the other day . I had a quick look at it yesterday as a few questions remained . One question was the name of president Roosevelt 's wife . This morning Ladybird popped into my head . I think that was L. B. Johnson's wife . A few minutes later Eleanor popped up! My brain has been busy working on that without my knowledge .
