She's fine. Spoilt rotten actually. We have to top her bowl up twice a day because she won't eat if she can see the bottom of the bowl plus she gets a handful of treats on the side!

Is Syndol a new brand of absinthe?

Nope. It's a headache tablet that has an anthistamine, Doxylamine, in its original formulation. It's one of those products that has an 'off script' application. In this case it's a sleep aid and its secret is shared amongst women. There was UK wide panic amongst its off script users when it became unobtainable in the UK. It's something to do with the manufacturing process and current formulations no longer have Doxylamine in them.

Mrs Vernon has an emergency stash of them and she was generous enough to give me access to them.

There's a whole world of drug abuse out there that receives no publicity.

Phenergan is another antihistamine with magical properties though it makes me want to sleep for a week so is never used on a school night.

Piriton is my first choice too.
