Would I need more than one type of grease? I'm going to replace chainset and the square bottom bracket. I'd need some good grease for the new hollowtech bottom bracket. I also would like to apply the same grease on bolts, pedals, stem bolts, etc, and maybe bearing in the feature.

What would you recommend?

Hmm... possibly not quite the answer that you were looking for but I use copaslip to stop bolts and threads from sticking (probably not necessary on bikes, but I got into the habit from motorbikes) and Finish Line teflon grease for bearings etc.

Neither are exactly pricey items, though.

I've been using Vaseline for 30 years, for threads, wheels bearing, headset bearings, bottom brackets, everything and it works a treat.

I use lithium grease from our local agricultural merchants. £3.50 for a big (in grease terms) pot which will last for years. It's good enough for multi thousand pounds worth of farm machinery so is fine for a bike!

+1 for lithium grease - if you get bike branded stuff it costs more. "Car branded" pots will do and are much cheaper (or above if you have access).
