I have full mudguards on my commuting bike with the little extra mud flap things. Why is the outside of my rear mudguard the dirtiest bit of my bike??
Well it's been puzzling me. As you know, my bikes can rarely be described as clean but the outside of the mudguard is ready for the first potato planting of the year.Philosophy section thread

I can answer this one logically. The outside of the mudguard is protected from all the spray thrown up by the tyres when riding on wet roads so the muck is not being rinsed away by this spray, Q.E.DWhy is the outside of my rear mudguard the dirtiest bit of my bike??
