Mudguards - Giant Escape 2 Hybrid

Could anybody recommend what decent mudguards I could buy for my Giant Escape 2 Hybrid? Unfortunately my last ride on the wet roads left me literally black from head to toe!

I have 700*32c tyres (the standard with the bike).

I was looking at some SKS sets but a lot of the reviews complained about the rear snapping or falling to bits.

I've had SKS's on my hybrid for 18 months or so with no problem whatsoever. I am also using 700x32 tyres at present.

Some of the reviews say these need lots of adjustments and are difficult to install; did you find this was the case?

LBS fitted them, so I couldn't say. I am not much of one for maintenance etc, prefer to pay experts from whom I buy the kit

My bike is due in for its 6 week service so I guess I could enquire about this; just if it's cheaper to buy and fit myself would rather that than pay somebody more for the product and labour for an easy job (assuming it is!)

I think I paid £20 for fitting plus around rrp for the mudguards but I'd rather that than spending lots of time messing it up and getting frustrated! Technical and mechanical stuff isn't really my thing
