mudguard repair help

Sadly the mud flap part of my crud road race mudguards flew off during the ride yesterday and recovery efforts were unsuccesful . So I'm looking for tips on what materials to use to build a suitable replacement flap type thing and how to replace it...

Is this the additional bit you screw on the end that comes with the crud guard or something you had contrived out of a Weetabix box and stuck on with Super Glue?

An old mousemat stuck down with contact adhesive worked for me for a long time. Or part of a coke bottle cut to size.

If it's the bit on the end - as Tollers said. It worked for me. Nice lady who works there practically sent me a whole guard.

excellent, that is the bit I mean, with the little sticker that looks like a barcode

i think it's a bit of a design fault tho as it has fallen off whilst on the turbo as well...

Yup it is a bit of a design fault. I think the little nut shakes loose pretty easily, but if for the first few weeks you tighten it every time you ride, then it holds pretty firm. If not, a bit of threadlock can't hurt.
