Hi

I jumped on my MTB for a short ride with my missus yesterday and instantly noticed how much comfier the saddle was than my road one. I'm doing a 100 mile sportive in August so comfort is going to be a big factor.

Although it is slightly bigger than my road seat am I missing any obvious reasons why I shouldn't use it? I'm sure the proof would be in my own testing of it but just wanted to find out if it's a definite no no before I get the tools out!!

Cheers

Saddles - use what is comfortable, no one can see it or give will two hoots when you're sat on it! Plenty of people with Brooks saddles on modern road bikes for example

Might be worth testing the MTB saddle on the road bike over longer distances. What can seem comfy over 10 miles could become very I comfy over 75 miles. Extra padding could seem comfy, but might end up chaffing.

Best to try it out and see how you get on. Good luck.
