Hi there, I'm looking for ideas for a mountain bike cycling challange. In the UK.
Myself and two of my coworkers are planning on doing this a year from now in order to get in good enough shape.
We have varying levels of fitness from pretty fit to .... Not so...
We want it to be a tough challenge so people get behind us and sponsor us.
Sharing any suggestions and experiences would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading.

On a side note does anyone know if it is possible to cycle to the summit of Ben Nevis on an MTB? Or the Monro mountains?

Are you allowed to cycle on footpaths now?

MTB C2C - 224 miles

I rode all of the 7Stanes blue trails in one day with my brother and a friend, which was tougher than it sounds.

Sounds cool! I like the idea of this! I'm a semi experienced road cyclist myself but a mountain bike virgin. How "technical" did you find this route to be?

Thanks, the South Downs and the Pennines sound do-able. I'll ask the lads

I haven't done the c2c route, it will be technical in places and you will need to know how to navigate by map in some areas. Gives me a thought for doing it next year though
