I would like to have a crack at entering a MTB competition or challenge...... you know, something to work towards for fun and enjoyment.

Could anybody please advise me where I can find a complete list or website that contains details of such events?

That was just like my journey to work today..........ahem............ A dog wandered into my path crossing the road, people were cheering me along (or maybe shouting at me to move out of the way), I signed an autograph (although maybe it was the signing-in book at reception) and when I got in people were taking photographs (well, security camera)

None of those links seem to mention Polaris, one of the original and biggest events. What's happened to Polaris? I did about 7 of them in the early years.
