Looking at http://tinyurl.com/qt48t8 it says these steel cage pedals have a 9/16" thread. As they mention it I guess that's not the standard size? If not, what is?

9/16" is the standard size. The only other size of note is 1/2" which is used on One-Piece-Cranks (as found on cheap BMXs and the like).
