Mounting lights without marking frame etc?

Getting a pair of these new but second hand if you know what I mean (£15) for my Trek 4300 :

Hints/Tips etc for putting them on that won't mark the frame if I want to change them later for different ones or do plastic clamp mounts like these not mark?

This... but now and again, change the rubber as grit get's behind it and can mark the frame.

Strip of clear frame protector or some electrical tape does the job.

But...you're not going to fix them to the frame anyhow!!
Front light goes on the handlebars, back light on the seatpost. Probably bare metal.

I agree with the above....there shouldn't really be any issue with mounting lights to the handlebars or seat-post. If you have any doubts, then inner tube rubber or electrical tape will go some way to avoiding marks. Ultimately 'Helic0pter Tape' (Google it or look on eBay) will protect your paintwork/frame as well as anything you can buy overpriced at a bike shop. I sent away for a couple of quids worth and it is seriously tough stuff!
