I was looking for some advice as I am thinking of getting a pair of Slick tyres for my mountainbike so that I can commute with it during the week, I was looking at Schwalbe's Kojack? available in 26 x 2.0 and 26 x 1.35. Would the rolling resistance be that noticeable between the 2.0 and the 1.35?

I doubt it. However, I have a pair of Schwalbe City Jets for sale if you are interested, very little use, dead right money. Ad in classifieds. They're 26x1.5

I like Skol

A Minging Manc...
I ran/run a set of continental 26x2.1 slicks (real slicks, just some mild wavey grooves for pretend tread) and they are great. Pumped up to max PSI (65psi) they seem to roll just as well as my 23c road bike tyres. The best bit is that with the fat tyre I can still hammer down steps and other 'stuff' without worry.

Get the 2.0 flavour, you'll like it!

I'm running Schwalbe 2" Big Apples on mine. They roll brilliantly
